Leica Leitz APDOO Black Self Timer w/ Case -Parts/Repair, DOES NOT WORK-

This is the cool self timer attachment for Leica II and III series cameras.

 

It looks good but does not work. The mechanical functions seem to be working, the timer counts down and there is a shutter release mechanism that drops down, but it does not seem to drop far enough down to trigger the camera's shutter.

 

The cool leather case is included.
