Rare Asahi Pentax Camera Adapter Canon 70134 35mm Threading (427-10)

This is a rare piece and I confess that I am not sure what it does. One end mounts to a Canon FD body and the other end has a 35mm female threading. I am thinking that it is for a microscope or a telescope. Whatever it is, it is mint.
