Kodak EKTAPAN 400 is a high-speed panchromatic black-and-white negative film characterized by its very fine grain structure, rich contrast, and extremely high sharpness. It’s a versatile film, with a wide exposure latitude, that’s suitable for working in mixed lighting conditions and responds well to push development.

EKTAPAN films feature a unique T-Grain emulsion, which utilizes flat, tabular silver halide crystals opposed to conventional cubic-grain films, in order to improve light absorption while maintaining an overall clean, low-grain appearance. These films have a particularly clean look with high contrast, fine sharpness, and reduced texture, making them ideal for both printing and scanning applications.
