A great entry to 35mm film, this Maxxum 5000 is an autofocusing SLR with a useful autoexposure mode. It offers both Program and Manual shooting modes, along with intuitive electronic control over shooting settings. The camera is paired with a useful 35-80mm f4-5.6 standard zoom lens.

It is in good condition with moderate cosmetic wear and works perfectly. The rear leatherette is peeling and the overall cosmetic condition is used with a handful of light scratches and marks to the body. Functionally, the camera is excellent: The shutter is strong and accurate at all speeds; the autofocus is accurate and the mechanical movements are smooth; the aperture is dry and snappy; and the glass is clean and scratch-free with no haze, fungus, nor other issues.
