The SB-16 has an interchangeable base for use with the F3 and standard cameras. This is the standard version and will work with any Nikon TTL film camera, excepting the F3.
It is in good condition and works perfectly. The battery contacts show signs of cleaning (see photos) but it works perfectly. The flash is strong and powerful.
